Easy to install. Great product

Used these on my steam mains without doing my research. The tape is junk and the pieces will fall off without using duct tape. Found a much better product after a little searching online that's thicker and cheaper. Wish I had known before wasting hundreds on these

My main problem is that the inside diameter isn't 1.25 inches. It's more like 1.75. I question if the R value is as high as it could be for this reason. If it were sized as described, I'd probably give it 3 or even 4 stars. I wrapped a nearby pipe with the typical product, the separate rolls of fiberglass and plastic, and it's a drag that takes 10 times as long and has a lower stated R value. That's how I can justify this product and its price. Warned by others of the adhesive failing, I used water-activated kraft paper packaging tape over the seams, knowing it's less likely to crap out when exposed to heat (in an attic). It adheres well to the product's exterior paper surface. If there were a better alternative for a hot pipe (or heat tape in my case), I wouldn't recommend this, but I don't know of one. Sometimes you have to improvise.

I purchased about 45 pieces of this product in varying sizes. I used it around iron heat pipes in my basement. At first I was very happy with product . I installed all the pieces in about 1.5 hours. The next day I returned to the basement and 90 percent of the pieces popped open. Attempted to reseal three times with similar results. Manufacture offered metal tape and/or replace items. I believe this is unsatisfactory because it does not take into account the time/labor/high product cost in having to redo job several times.

Yes, I used the insulation to wrap the riser pipes in our pre-war apartment. This make the apartment much more comfortable. I recommended it to other tenants.

As with most items coming from China, product quality was marginal. Adhesive holding outer layer was poor, forcing me to reattach the layer after installation, also adhesive holding flap closed failed, causing me to install tape to hold the seam closed. Home depot Aaa++++ China mfg D-----

Works well to reduce sound from abs pipes

Ordered 1/2 but received 3/4 Used item anyway because needed to finish the job

Used to insulate 1-1/4” steam pipe. Worked as expected. Easy to join pieces and cut to length

The adhesive tape doesn’t adhere and breaks away. Will need tape to secure the tape strip. Very disappointing!

The self adhesive did not work

Be careful when installing it, the fiberglass fibers can erode and cut you.

Nice insulation but a bit expensive. Need to be careful to wrap tightly before sealing the insulation onto the pipe.

I found a better product online for less money. The product you offer only has .5 inch of insulation. Steam pipes should have at least 1 inch.
