We have 3 - heavy floor to ceiling mirror doors in the master bedroom. A few of the wheels have not been rolling smoothly or rolling at all for some time. We successfully replaced the wheels to two of the doors, the wheels to the third door were not a problem. These mirror doors were made by the Crest Door Company in 1979. I learned from Prime Line tech support that patio door companies were also building mirror closet doors around that period of time. I then found an article on changing the wheels to a patio door and studied to our mirror doors. We removed the mirror door from the track and placed it on its backside onto two folding tables. We removed the 2 scews that are threaded through the hole of the tabs of each existing roller assembly. With a screw driver, the two end vertical rails were move apart (about 1/8 inch) from the bottom rail to loosen the tight grip on bottom rail. We lighly tapped and removed the bottom rail. At this point, the 2 existing wheels were easy to remove from the ends of the bottom rail. We put in the new roller assemblies and reassembled the mirror door by following the procedures in reverse. The project took only 15 to 20 minutes!!! Althought the existing wheels were shorter in length than the new roller assembly, it did not matter because the height and width were the same and fit the interior dimemsions of the bottom rail.

We ordered four steel Coaster assemblies for our mirrored closets. Three of them were perfect. One however had a miss drilled hole where the screw was supposed to go through. I did not need that one, so I took it back for a refund.

Fit my charmac sliding mirrored doors, though the wheel is a bit larger. Doors roll like new.

Hope they can make metal rollers instead of plastic. Plastic is easily damaged down the road.

Was surprised to even find these since the doors are from 1984. They are an exact replacement, making them easily installed in less than 10 minutes including removing the door, removing broken part, installing new Prime-line 1-1/4 roller assembly, reinstalling the door and returning the two screwdriver to my shop after adjusting the doors.

It just didn’t fit the closet I needed it to

Replaced an old closet door roller. Wheels were smaller than the original but this one still does the job. Slightly difficult to install due to the roller bracket having a flare in it. Can use a putty knife to help it along to fit into the slot. Be careful with the knife so you don't get cut. Wear gloves if needed.

Perfect...……..easy to fit...…...less than 5 minutes!
