This is a great microwave. My husband and I both use it like it.

This particular unit was exactly what i needed..small and light. Ps: It does microwave popcorn perfectly.

Bought this just over 2 years ago after researching online. It was fine when it worked, now all of a sudden it doesn't heat anymore. I'm not surprised, companies are selling us disposable products these days and Danby seems to be no exception. Next time I'll just be buying the cheapest microwave I can find, they're all poor quality and don't last, so don't waste your money on anything fancy or pricier like this.

We were looking for a smaller microwave oven .Two month ago our daughter bought for us 0.9 cu.ft Danby oven. We are very happy with this purchase. It is not only nice looking , but powerful and has a lot of features.Love it!

bought 10 years ago works perfect just showing some rust in back now so will replace with same as great reliable microwave. never had problem with plastic peeling and use mine daily.

Functions as expected, although the exrea step required to launch its operation is of no vakue whatsoever.

Bought this at Home Depot six months ago. The plastic film covering the control panel has already worn off those buttons we use the most often (Beverage & Start) - there are just two adults in our home and I'm surprised at how quickly the finish on this product wore out. Plastic, which this is, is warrantied only for 30 days - so clearly Danby recognizes that the finish of their products won't stand up to normal wear. Clearly, I'm going to avoid Danby products in the future. Cheap, cheap, cheap.

I bought this model a month ago and am very happy with the power it has for the size. I also like that I can just use the handle to open the door and not rely on a button release.

I bought this microwave for my child's dorm room. It is working out very well and my child is very happy with it.

I have owned the 900 watts Danby Designer for the last 2 years and it has performed very well for my daily usage. It has the pleasant designer look with a compact size and all the convenient features for daily uses.

It's okay but only thing you can't set it for 10 or 15 seconds it's a hassle

This review is for the model DMW099BSLDD which has been in our use for just a little under two years. Good looks—which it has–alone wouldn’t motivate me to write this review but good performance certainly has. We are a family of two (seniors) who rely extensively on its use and it has delivered as advertised. Could it be made better? Surely it can but additional features will come with an additional price tab and not everyone needs a state-of-art, smart-phone controlled microwave oven. It’s simple to operate, robust and meets our needs very well. I would rate it five stars.

I have to say after receiving and using my new Danby microwave for a couple weeks, it is performing perfectly and fulfils my needs as hoped! Highly recommend!

So far so good. Purchased this microwave after months of searching. One review said the beeping continues (5 beeps) when it's done and that annoyed them. That's what the Cancel button is for.

This is a great, small microwave for a "tight" kitchen. It does all the things that a BIG microwave can do - in a much smaller space! LOVE IT !

Appears to be not solid as when opening or closing the door. It has a tinny sound. As far as working the microwave does well.

A nice compact microwave. Foods are cooked properly, the clock timer really helps with my baking. Even when I make a mistake, the Danby compensates for my mistakes. It may shut down for a few minutes, but always comes back. Would buy another.

This microwave oven is compact, easy to use and clean. And is very stylish. It is also made very well, no rattles or pings from this one!

the microwave works great and it heats up your food with what time you set it at and it,s easy to clean and the glass plate is easy to wash and dry

Purchased it January 2013 and it recently stopped heating food. We're a family of four and it worked daily for 23 months. The "megatron" (heater coil) has packed it in. All we ever used it for was to defrost and reheat meals. It did the job. Didn't really use the other features. Only cons... seem to hold a lot of moisture (have never seen that in a microwave, at least as much as this one), clock was "suspect" to actually keeping time over the 2 years we had it. Seemed to always be out by a few minutes, every few months. Otherwise, it did what we wanted.

Easy to use. Instructions were simple as far as setting the clock and cook times for food!

Bought this little guy in February and by April it was already broken. it stopped heating food, although it would look like it was functioning. Home Depot was great and I was able to exchange it for a different one, hopefully it will last a little longer than a few months. Maybe it was a fluke/isolated incident, but I did not want to chance it by getting the same one.

This unit heated well and roomy inside for its exterior dimensions. The fit and finish are ok but it is a dated look but it is a good deal for the price. It has the essential +30 sec start button for drink reheats but unfortunately the 5 beeps at the end of the cycle are loud and unstoppable once they start. They get pretty annoying for others in your house!

Thought I would take a chance on a no-name unit. For the price it looked nice and it did everything I needed. Then one day after about a year, the unit would not turn on, the keypad and clock worked but the turn table and heating unit would not turn on. For $80 it is not worth getting repaired. Customer service kept me on hold forever and the manual referred me to the trouble shooting section - but they inconveniently did not have such a section in their manual, nor on line. I will replace this with a GE unit. The GE unit I had before this lasted 19 years, I should not have gone with a non-brand name unit.

we like our new microwave. it works fast and quiet

We use the microwave for only a few minutes worth of cooking a frozen meal or re-heating leftovers. We are not cooking casseroles or meals from scratch. Based on our limited cooking, the microwave is quiet and heats the items thoroughly. There are 2 negatives. 1) Like others have mentioned, the microwave continues to beep even after you open the door. Minor annoyance. 2) There is what looks like a piece of cardboard above the turntable. It's the same color as the packaging cardboard and looks as if it should be removed during unpacking. It tears easy. Upon research after tearing it, this is actually a sheet of Mica and is meant to be there to protect the main heating element behind it from food splatters. Danby should have it white or some printing on it that says "do not remove."

Great microwave. Easy to use. Would highly recommend.
