  • Sticks to plastic but not much else...
  • July 09, 2012

Bought this tape to install several pieces of backsplash on a home bar facade. The tape sticks to the plastic backsplash with nearly no chance of removing it once you stick it BUT it fell off the properly prepared wood face that I was sticking the backsplash to. It stuck for a couple days but once the indoor temperature reached mid 80's the tape fell loose. It didn;t hold the seams as tight as I liked eather. I pulled all the backsplash off and worked for 2+ hours to remove the tape from the plastic. Re-applied with the adhesive and wish I had done that from the start!!!!

  • Works fine with liquid nails

I bought this to hang our backsplash. I wouldn't recommend using only this tile tape- but using it in conjunction with an adhesive and it works just fine.

  • The Tape

This is the best double sided tape I have ever used. I was able to hang a metal wall plague on a wooden cabinet with very little effort. You could feel that the tape was holding well. The plague is still holding strong.

Pros: Portable, Easy to Use, Convenient, Light Weight, strong holding power

Would have gotten better results with regular double faced tape and would've been cheaper

  • Not what I expected

I purchased this product hoping that the negative reviews that I read were not true. While I hoped that the tape would work as advertised it did not. I prepped all surfaces as recommended but after 45 minutes the wall panels fell down. I ended up using liquid nails. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Still love the wall tiles though!

Cons: didn't hold

  • False hope
  • September 13, 2014

I had originally hoped this would work, as it was on the same display as the metal looking backsplash tiles, but I was severely disappointed. The wall I intended to use it on wasn't exactly smooth, but I half expected it to stick, especially after following the instructions on cleaning the wall. The adhesive stuck to the tiles really well, but after about an hour, my tiles were falling off. Ended up taking the tape off and using an actual tile adhesive.

  • Double Sided Failure

Put this tape on the back per instructions in the video and in 24 hours it fell away from the wall. Re-applied more tape to cover almost the entire backing of the sheet I was putting up. Again, withing 48 hours the sheet had completely fallen away from the wall. Went with liquid nails to ensure adhesion to the wall after that. Seems to be no more problems. I wouldn't waste money on this product. Suggest they pull it off the market because it doesn't work.
