Have used this nailer to put together a 24 X 52 ' garage. Absolutely great, takes changes in nails without issue, operated between 80 and 120 PSI, had very few nails to knock down even in the treated beams. If this one ever dies I will buy another, this thing is great. Doing siding, depth of drive was easy to make when needed and the results were consistent.

Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, All In One, Sturdy, Strong, Good Size & Weight, Long-Lasting, better than a 24 oz framing hammer all day

The Porter Cable Framing Nail Gun was a good value and is an excellent product. First, the no-mar nylon foot slides right off to reveal barbs that help to hold the gun in place when toe-nailing framing projects. Second, a few drops of included oil in the air inlet is all it takes to complete preventive maintenance on the tool. The case keeps all the components together in one place. At just over 100 3" nails so far and not one jam or mis-fire. I have other Porter Cable nail guns that I have been so impressed with and plenty of framing to do on my remodel. I might even build my own shop with this gun to make the most of it!

Pros: Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, one pull one nail every time

I bought this for my company use and it's very solid. The only problem I have is the higher price for the nails the gun uses. The upfront savings will definitely be lost due to the cost of the plastic-collated nail strips.

Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Sturdy, Strong, Good Size & Weight, Long-Lasting Cons: expensive fasteners

  • Even though I have two framing nailers, I could not pass up the deal on this one. Home Depot and Porter Cable nailed it.

Great quality nailer at a fantastic price. Just remember to turn the exhaust port on the top of the nailer so it doesn't hit you in the face when leaning over the nailer. I'm very happy with it . It appears to be as good of quality as my more expensive Hitachi and better than my Cambell Hausfeld. It uses the plastic sleeved nails and sometimes leaves plastic pieces under the nail head. This can be a problem if the nails are exposed like the top of a deck but otherwise perfect so far. Most of the plastic pieces are easily brushed away. Every now and then I would have to pull a plastic piece out from under the nail head. This is nit picking and not a problem for framing.

Pros: Easy to Use, Sturdy, Strong, Good Size & Weight Cons: sometimes leaves plastic under nail

  • Great nailer

Had this gun now for five years, over 10,000 nails have gone through it. Only problem other than the tip guard coming off if you don't use the right nails the gun will jam. Avoid the paper sided Plasload nails and it is good, I think those nails are too close together for this gun even though they are "comparable" they will jam

Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Sturdy, Accurate, Strong, Long-Lasting Cons: Heavy, bulky

Not being familiar with air nailers this one seems fine. It is a little difficult sometimes to get the angle just right to trigger it but we have done our small addition and it works fine. Kind of big for between stringers but we are green so maybe did it wrong!

Pros: Easy to Use, All In One
