Allure satin promised to clean and protect my allure floor. It did not, and worse. The fine print says skuff marks, spots, stains must be removed first, if not they may become permanent. Believe it, and apparently water spots do too. My brand new floor looks spotty. Too pricey to not work more thoroughly.
Difficult to Use,
We laid down some Allure flooring in Country Pine,it came out beautiful. We wanted to protect it so we got some of this and applied it just like the directions stated. Our floor now has splotches all over it and looks like***.We did everything right, but this stuff made our new floor look terrible. You don't notice it when you are looking straight down on the floor, but if you look at it on an angle it looks bad.Now we have to find some way to get it off.My advice-run fast away from this stuff!
This product worked really well at covering up any marks, scratches, and protects beautifully. We put on 2 coats immediately after laying and rolling our Allure vinyl planks, and it instantly transformed the vinyl to truly look like wood. I will continue to use the product, adding more and more protection over the years.
We recently purchased and installed Allure flooring and bought the Allure Single Step Satin Cleaner and Polish and applied it to the floor. The floor looks great, so shiny and clean! It's really a great product!
Directly after we had Allure Trafficmaster flooring installed, we cleaned the floor with a vinyl floor cleaner (Armstrong Once n' Done) and then lightly coated the floor with two coats of the Allure Single Step cleaner and polish (in satin). I'm not 100% thrilled with this polish- it didn't coat evenly in some spots, but I know I can just remove it with the vinyl cleaner if I want. There have also been some scratches that have appeared on the floor already from one of our dogs nails- these scratches are NOT in the floor itself, they're in the polish. I can buff the scratch right out with a sponge and some more of the polish. I think that because the polish doesn't dry hard (it's soft like a wax) it's easy to create a scratch or scuff in it- it's a little disappointing to see that nicely polished floor already scratched up, but at least the polish is protecting the actual floor from getting scratched.
When we installed the floor, I didn't use the cleaner and my floor didn't have any shine even when it was freshly clean. A friend use this product and told me about it. I bought it and have use it since. It is so easy to use, dries quietly and leaves a great shine. I use the satin finish cleaner.
The allure floor cleaner and polish gave our vinyl - wood grain style floor a nice look. We purchased the satin cleaner and polish and it gave it just a little shine which is what we wanted; it looks nice and even cleaned up the scuff marks.I am very happy with the results with this product, and would recommend it to others for their allure floors.
I just spent the weekend laying beautiful vinyl plank flooring, and in 1 hour I ruined the floors by using this product. Now I have a smoky bluish haze all over the floor. I called customer service and was told that the product was drying to fast on the floor and they advised me to use a floor stripper to get the finish off. I really wish I looked up reviews on this first.
I have used allure on the hardwood floors in my house and 110-year-old redwood and oak floors in a rental. In both cases I was totally satisfied with the results. For me it was a great product to give a nice lustre to the floors to impress renters and it also provided a quick fix for scratches and scuff marks on the floor. I called customer service once to ask about its application on different type floors and got a positiver response immediately.
