  • inconsistant color
  • October 15, 2014

This was the second time we bought polyblend grout and the second time the color was not as purchased. This time we got the charcoal and it at best is a dark grey. However there are some spot s that appear almost black while most is a dark grey. After this has happened to us for a second time now we talked to others who have used it and they have reported the same.If the color of the grout is important, DO NOT get this

Pros: Easy to Install, Great Instructions, Easy to Clean Cons: Scratches Easily, color inconsistant, color is lighter than advertised

  • This grout was difficult to get the lumps out of when mixing, took an extraordinarily long time
  • March 13, 2012

I've worked with grout quite a bit, but this was the first timewith this product. Probably would not buy it again as it took over 15 minutes to get the lumps out of it, then it was a rush to apply it to the tile as it was beginning to dry up.

Polyblend non sanded grouts are extremely easy to mix and work with. The grout folds nicely into the tile gaps without having to "force" the grout. Polyblend grouts have minimal shrinkage after curing which saves time, money and effort on having to reapply grout to cracked and shrunken lines.

Pros: Easy to Install, Looks Great

  • dried almost white!
  • March 12, 2015

Beware of using dark grout. I used this on tile that resembles dark wood floors with hopes the dark grout would help the real appearance of wood. However, it was a NIGHTMARE! It ended up drying almost white! I wanted to cry. I did some research and it seems this is a common problem while trying to obtain a dark grout line. Most people stated it may be from too much water or too much water in the clean up process. Anyway, I needed a solution fast and really didn't want to have to re grout or paint it so I choose to stain it with a staining marker made for wood with a color that best matched the tile. It was soooooooo Easy and real happy with the results. I recommend anyone who needs dark grout to do their homework first and maybe find a better brand.

  • STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT
  • March 16, 2015

This product goes on beautifully. Then it dries. And it dries UGLY. Uneven color and spotty white crust. Called Polly blend, followed their directions... Buy their acid wash and scrub after 10 days drying time. Did that and it looked good wet then dried to the same UGLY. They did send "stain sealer " for me to basically paint all my grout lines. So several extra days labor and more money buying acid and brushes. Lots of negative reviews on other colors too. Surprised Home Depot continues to carry this product. Absolute Failure of a product.

Pros: none Cons: dries to uneven color, leaves white residue, must use colored sealer for uniform color

  • Not sure about this one!

We used the earth color grout on our kitchen floor, but for some reason the grout dried much lighter and was too much of a contrast against the brown tiles. We were not happy with the product and don't know if it was just this color, as we have used other colors of the same brand. Therefore...beware! You might want to choose a slightly darker color instead, just in case.

Cons: color match when dried questionable
