  • Not pleased at all

We bought 8 strings of these to garland all the way across the front of our log cabin but the strings do not connect together. It is not what I was wanting at all. Without stringing 8 extension cords across the porch and no one wants that. I wish they would have made it clear in the description these garlands cannot be connected together. We will be returning them.

Cons: does not connect

  • Can't be strung together...whats the point?
  • December 09, 2013

The light strings/garland cannot be strung together...each string requires it's own plug. NOWHERE on the package is this specified! Waste of time and have returned them all.

Cons: not compatible with other strings of same type

For the price, I thought this garland was very cheaply made and looked cheap. The green is such a pale color that it looks very faded. The LED lights do not shine very brightly; and there is too much purple in it and not enough red. The garland is not very thick.

Cons: Size & Weight, Appearance, lights are dim

  • OK if you don't need to string them together

I ended up using 2 of these to decorate around some shelving and a fireplace only because I had an outlet on either side. I originally bought these to string together outside but was disapointed to find that they could not be connected. This should have been stated on the packaging. The option of three different settings is nice. The quality is average because whenever I touch the wiring near the dial to change the setting the lights blink on and off before I even touch it. Not normal. At least for right now all the lights work and it looks nice around my fireplace. My non-led lights decide on their own which lights work and when. Some lights on the non-led don't work then another time they do and others are off. I had returned them and bought different ones but the same thing happened.I don't understand why it seems so hard to offer a product like this that works the way it should. I'd be willing to pay a little more for that.

Pros: Looks Great Cons: Easily Damaged

  • Look Great but...
  • November 29, 2014

Bought these to decorate our porch posts and they look fantastic but they are not able to be strung together you have to use a plug for each strand. Also any time they are turned off they default back to the color pattern instead of staying set at white like I'd like them to. That is probably the most frustrating part of this product.

  • Won't keep setting when turned off
  • December 01, 2014

We needed an 18' lighted garland with white lights to replace one around our front entrance. We liked the LED lights on this one although the greenery is a little sad. We bought 2 x 9" unlit garlands for $2 each at a local store, and wound them around the Martha one. We loved how it turned out using the white/clear light setting. Very classy. Up to this point we were pleased. Our outdoor lights are hooked to a timer. Sadly the Martha lights won't keep the setting, so when the timer turned them on for the first time, I saw all these blinking colored lights. It looked like Las Vegas! So we can't use the timer with them, and instead have to turn them on manually, and reset to clear every night. Although we didn't need to string these lights together, I've read others say they were very disappointed that was not an option. All in all Martha Stewart should do better than this. Bet she'd be very upset if she bought them herself.

Cons: Appearance, poor controller, can't string two together
