Q:Thinking about getting these because our pet has torn up the blinds that are there now. Will they hold up to a pet pawing at window?

A:  Im not able to answer your question because I do not know your "pet", I only know my product and its ability to do what is is designed for. Window coverings are not tested for their ability to hold up to pets. Unfortunately, this is a decision you would have to make yourself based on your knowledge of your pet.

    Q:it says 29 to 31 in wide but theres no 31 inch option, only 23, 29 and 39. and only the 29 option seems to be available. is this because they come with spacers?

    A:  We have limited inventory at this time. The size is stated with a range because the shutter set comes with 16 filler strips to increase the width 1/8" at a time up to 2" .

      A:  These shutters are 29" wide , the widest these can be with the included spacers is 31" wide. These will not fit your window.

        Q:Are the shutters available in 31 in. wide x 24 in. long format (ie, each of the four panels is 7 3/4 in. wide)? If so, how wide are the individual louvers?

        A:  When you try to figure out the panel width you have to consider the hanging strips as well. The 31" has 7.125" panels, the 29" has 6.625" panels.

              A:  If your looking to inside mount you should purchase the 35" wide shutter kit. This kit contains 1/8" filler strips to fill a window opening up to 37". You did not mention the length however, keep in mind that Traditional shutters can be trimmed on top 3/4" and bottom 1.5" when selecting the Length you need.
