Q:I have burglar bars on my windows, will shutters be able to be installed.

A:  I have no way of knowing since I do not know how the bars are installed.The shutter kits mount inside or outside the window frame on a left and right hanging strip .If you need further information please call our toll free customer service line ; 844-365-7681

    Q:Are these available in any other sizes these days? I am looking for traditional white shutters, 1 1/4" slats with four panels, 35" wide by 32" tall. They used to come in many sizes.

        A:  Our Faux Wood shutters are PVC which can be painted. Choose a paint that states it can be used on PVC. To insure adhesion you must clean to remove any oils and prepare the shutter surface for painting. We recommend you consult a paint professional to achieve optimum, long lasting results.

          Q:MY WIDOWS HAVE PLASTIC RAILS OR RUNNERS SO I THINK THEY WOULD NEED TO BE OUTSIDE MOUNTED. THE CORRECT MEASUREMENTS WOULD NEED TO BE 28" TALL AND APPROX 30" WIDE FOR COVERING THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE WINDOWS. THEY NEED TO BE THE 4 PANEL FOLDABLE STYLE. DO YOU SELL THIS SIZE ANY LONGER? I ORDERED THEM BEFORE FOR A COTTAGE WITH 10 WINDOWS AND THEY FIT THE SAME MEASUREMENTS PERFECTLY. PLEASE ADVISE.

          A:  The two stock sizes are; 29~31 x 28 or 31~33 x 28 The reason for the width range is that they are made the smaller size and 1/8" filler strips can be added to increase the width up to 2". Availability of our in stock shutters is limited at this time, so if you are unable to order the size you require it will not be back in stock until some time in 2021 ,we apologize for this delay but want you to know it will at some time get replenished.             Q:Hi, I want to install these to hide my computer shelf. The opening is 38 in. Wide x 20 in. Height. Will the 39 W x 20 H size work for this, please, or will they buckle by an inch? If not, any suggestions, please? I want the 4 panels so I can have them flush against the walls when open. Thanks very much! Picture attached.

            A:  39~41 is too large unless you do not use the hanging strips and install the hinges directly to the wall unit using a few filler strips. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS as you would need some carpentry skills to accomplish this installation especially if the shelving unit is not solid wood.

              A:  Sorry , we do not have a shutter that short, 24L is the shortest and you can only trim 1.5" off unless you outside mount. Also the stock available is limited due to our factory being relocated. All replenishments will occur after the new year so you will have to check back for availability.

                A:  Height and Length are the same (up and down , vertical measurement) Width is the side to side or horizontal measurement.
