Q:Can the length be cut to size

A:  The length can be adjusted by trimming the top and bottom rails. The shutters may be trimmed up to 1/4 inch on top and 1 1/4 inches on the bottom. Trim the rails by using a fine tooth circular saw.

    Q:My window openings measure 22 1/2" wide x 52" long. Your shutters measure 23" wide. Can the sides of the shutters be trimmed a little to accommodate a 22 1/2 inch opening?

    A:  We do not recommend trimming the sides as this takes the proper saw and skill set. Uneven trimming will effect the way the shutter hang. It will also void the warranty. However , this being said trimming is "possible" if you desire to do so the shutter set comes with hanging strips which you may want to trim as to not change the look of the shutter panels themselves.

      A:  Our Faux wood is made of PVC, it resists moisture and fading, is washable and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

        A:  Yes they can. You have to make to measure from the outer most dimensions so they can be mounted on the wall or molding.

          Q:Hello. My question is the length. In the description, it says that the shutter can be cut to length. Is this something provided at the store? Or is this something that I would need to do on my own? This shutter is perfect however the length of my windows is 36.5in.

          A:  Plantation shutters can only be cut 1/4" (.25") on the top and 1 1/4" (1.25") on the bottom. You would be better off buying the 36" length and leaving 1/4" gap on top and bottom which actually allows for a good fit.

            Q:We already have these shutters on most of our windows but need to replace one. The opening is 48"x48" (old house w/ big windows) but I'm not seeing anything close to that size. Does it come in something wider than what I'm seeing online?

            A:  Unfortunately these stock size Plantation shutters do not came any wider than 39"~41" and never have. Please contact your local Home Depot to see if they can special order the size you need.

                A:  You can search for the item in white but most likely if white is not on option in the size you need it is because it is not in stock.
