A: Hello Jake. Yes, the HD55 will read through a textured ceiling. If it is a heavy texture or popcorn type surface we suggest you use a thin piece of cardboard to scan through as it will give the tool a smooth surface to scan on. Normal light texture does not require this. Thank you.
