A: Hello David, we apologize that you cannot currently order the hog rings online. Products are taking longer than usual to arrive in-store due to container shortages, however we expect this to be resolved sooner rather than later. There is currently no ship-to-home option for this item as well. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

A: I imagine they wouldn't hold up against constant battering from a big dog.

A: There are two ways to go with this: (1) Double or triple rings give you more strength or (2) Go with a heavier gauge steel. The problem is that your dog is a "dynamic" force that can require a heavier chain than a static force ... in other words, the dog will "yank" on the chain instead of a constant pull. When in doubt, go big.

A: Thank you for your question. The Hog Rings referenced below are Galvanized Steel, and are not 304 Stainless Steel. They are 12 gauge and measure .108” in diameter. The total length of the Hog Ring, prior to bending into shape, is 2.75”. The opening is approximately .8” at the opening and 1.08” at the widest point. When closed, the 1.08” opening decreases to approximately .73.
Thank You,
Jennifer

Q:Can these be used to repair some damaged mesh? A couple pieces of mesh have separated at the bottom of my fence, due to age, and my dogs can get out of a small hole. If not, I'd have to replace the entire 50 feet of the fabric...thanks.

A: Yes, in fact they are use in a lot of different applications. The old guys that I worked with were mostly farmers and it's amazing what they can be used for. As a side note they are used also on pig noses to keep them from digging in the soil.
