A: Yes, these can easily be cut to fit. You can use a hacksaw to cut through the aluminum retainer and sturdy shears or snips to cut through the rubber and mesh filling or, if you have one, a cutoff wheel works very well.

A: Hi, the rubber from the sweep should not scratch the floor. To guarantee that you won't have a problem we'd recommend installing the sweep so that there's about 1/16" between the bottom of the sweep and the floor.
