A: Hello Gina! Thank you for your question. To fell a standing tree, it’s recommended that you use a bar longer than the diameter of a tree. To cut a tree that has already fallen, you can cut up to double the bar length minus a couple of inches by making two cuts, one from each available side of the tree. For example: If the bar is 14” you can cut a log up to 26” in diameter. For complete safety details, please review your owner’s manual. -JeakiaC

A: Hi Want1Goodaw.
Since you do not want a manual oiler such as the Worx 14 in. 89 amp Electric Chainsaw is, I would suggest taking a look at the Homelite Electric Chainsaw.
I own the Homelite 16in. 12 amp Electric Chainsaw. I have used it to cut down and cut up numerous 12 in thick trees with no problem. This model has an automatic oiler.
I try to keep the bar oil in my chainsaw at least half full all the time since I am cutting at numerous angles. This way, I can be assured that oil will always be flowing to my bar and chain while I am cutting.

Be sure to check the oil level frequently, especially after longer and heavier cuts.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

A: No, the saw does not oil automatically. The operator must press the oil filler cap in order for oil to be released to the chain.
