To cut a tree that has already fallen, you can cut up to double the bar length minus a couple of inches by making two cuts, one from each available side of the tree. A:  Hi Want1Goodaw. Since you do not want a manual oiler such as the Worx 14 in. 89 amp Electric Chainsaw is, I would suggest taking a look at the Homelite Electric Chainsaw. I own the Homelite 16in. 12 amp Electric Chainsaw. I have used it to cut down and cut up numerous 12 in thick trees with no problem. This model has an automatic oiler. I try to keep the bar oil in my chainsaw at least half full all the time since I am cutting at numerous angles.
