A:  5" ... I believe. Gave the bag to my brother.

A:  End pockets are approx. 6" Three side pockets are approx. 5" Neither are too deep.

A:  The bag I received is 12" by 8" by 9.5". Not nearly as big as advised!

A:  It's the same bag. One side has pockets, the other side is plain. I am using the bag regularly, sturdy enough.
