Q:How do you open the door. It is very difficult for us and can never seem to get it open.

Answer This Question
A: There is a pocket handle (slightly below and mid control panel) that you would put your fingers in and firmly pull the door until it releases from the latch. As long as the dishwasher is installed firmly in the opening it usually shouldn't be difficult to open.

A: Are you using a rinse aid that they suggest? If not, you are probably not getting the drying that you need. This results in mildew and the smell. If you read the guide it tells you that using the rinse aid is "a must".
To get rid of the smell, try running the dishwasher empty and add a small amount of bleach. Then, open the dishwasher as soon as the cycle finishes and allow to air dry. That should solve your problem. Then use the rinse aid like they suggest and you shouldnt ever have the same problem

A: Do your dishes dry completely? Many ppl have complained that the dishes and inside of the dishwasher do not dry after the cycle is complete. even if you use the high heat/sanitize settings. If this is the case, and you dont open the unit after its finished, you are gonna get mildew. i suggest running a cycle(empty, no dishes) with a mild solution of bleach. that should kill the mildew
