The Whirlpool brand recently launched a new dishwasher line to refresh the aesthetics, meet new energy standards, and provide more features that are valuable to customers. A:  Anonymous, There aren't that many smudge proof stainless steel appliances that I am aware. I do realize that some brands offer a line or a couple of models, but you tend to be locked into that particular style or brand as the shade of stainless steel tends to be different in order to create the "smudge free" design. This particular dishwasher is not smudge free, but is Stainless Steel. There are many great ss cleaners out on the market now that can make any appliance resist smudges and fingerprints. A:  MB21, Built In Dishwashers do not have an enclosed top, side, or rear. They are meant to be built into a cabinet/counter top. There is not an option for getting a finished side. However, there are many options for getting a piece of cabinetry to finish out a cabinet side. If you do not have a cabinet/counter top at all to install this dishwasher into, there are portable dishwasher options. These are fully enclosed and have a counter top also.
