    A:  The fitter is the size of the opening of the glass and includes the lip of the shade. This is a 3 1/4" fitter size glass shade. We do not carry a 7 inch or 6 7/8" fitter shade.

      A:  Yes, this product can use a G9 T4 40 watt max and does not have to be a halogen bulb.

        A:  For the shade as I am using it, I use an equivalent to what was previously known as a 60-watt bulb (I think it says 43) without the opaque rim right before the screw-in piece, as I don't like this type because it made my living room lamp give off a dark glow that made me think my TV was dying. It's the new bulb that you now have to buy, but it's the closest one to the old type of bulb. Maybe it's some sort of halogen bulb, but you don't have to use rubber gloves to touch it. Right now I'm stuck with this type of shade because I don't have the money to replace the fixture. The shade has to connect with screws, but nothing is actually screwed in. If you don't get it right, the shade will fall down and shatter if anything, like a youngster jumping from a flight above. Sometimes the shade will suddenly drop because you didn't get the alignment just right. If you don't have the money to replace your fixture, then this bulb looks good enough.

              A:  This glass works with fixtures that have a 6 inch fitter. We do not offer this in a 7 inch fitter.
