Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. This is a 3-speed fan and light remote control which can be used with AC motor ceiling fans that are remote control adaptable. If you are uncertain if your fan is remote control adaptable or which remote control option will work with your fan, we recommend contacting your fan manufacturer for assistance.

A:  The remote pictures looks like a Westinghouse remote which comes as two parts. The remote,as shown, and a receiver. The receiver gets the signal from the remote an turns on the function selected. The receiver must be wired to the fan and power source in order to work. In addition, the receiver must fit into the fan housing. The fan should have “remote compatible” or words to that effect somewhere on the box. The fan I bought along with the remote illustrated work great together. I’m not familiar with your Concord fan but if it indicates remote compatible, you should be ok. You may also need an electrician to wire it in.

A:  Thank you for your question. Our 7787000 remote control kit comes with a receiver that goes up in the canopy of the fan and also the handheld remote control. This receiver is designed to work with this included handheld remote control. This is a universal remote control kit and can be used with most remote control adaptable ceiling fans.

A:  You eliminate the switches and use the remote. There is a controller the installs inside the fan itself. If this is beyond you, hire an electrician to do it correctly for you.

A:  I would start with (sample) checking bulb (put another one) and then confirming that everything else is working - fan and fan speeds. If it is not bulb then call to WESTINGHOUSE their techs should help with troubleshooting the remote and receiver. Hope it helps!

A:  You turn the LIGHT ON/OFF by pressing the light bulb button. If you keep the light bulb button pressed, the LIGHT will dim, go off, and come back on at the brightest level. The LIGHT will continue to cycle until the light bulb button is released. Try pressing LIGHT the button and then holding it down to cycle through the dimming circuit. If you are still having an issue with this product please email to contact the Consumer Support Division for assistance at: consumersupport@westinghouselighting.com If you turn your power source off, the settings on your fan and lighting will not remain the same when you turn the power back on.

A:  This unit needs to be wired into any fan circuit at the fan and will then operate the fan. It is not a replacement for anyone's remote fan controller. It is a complete modification of the fan it controls. Sorry!

A:  Hi, Remote on itself may not work (I would reach to both producers to check if Hampton Bay has compatible receiver). However, the "receiver (fits most fans)" (according to WESTINGHOUSE product description). There is good chance that it will work with you fan. (see figure 1 in instruction https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/c1/c13a760b-0284-444a-b075-52af87951d05.pdf) You can buy the item (remote with receiver). Install receiver and give it a try. Hope it helps!

A:  There is a set of toggles inside that you set to match the receiver inside your fan. So the answer is yes, but you have to know the code. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmQQjXEWuQw

A:  You can use more than 1 of the 7787000 remote controls to operate the fan. The receiver and both the handheld remote controls will all need to be set to the same dip switch settings. The remote controls do also need to be within 40 feet of the fan in to operate the fan.
