Q:What are the weight limits of things hanging on hooks for the pegboard?

Answer This Question
A: Hello and thank you for your inquiry.
We actually do not advertise load ratings because too much depends on the quality of installation, how weight is distributed both on the panels and on the hooks and shelves, as well as the age and quality of the substrate the panels are installed in to. Due to all of the variables involved in any given installation, we have found it potentially misleading to suggest proper “load ratings” that are generally formulated in laboratories under ideal conditions, specifications, and protocols that do not accurately reflect the actual real world applications that these products are used in.
That all being said, if you are installing into traditional drywall and using the included drywall anchors, our “recommendation” would be no more than 100 LBS per panel (200 LBS per panel into studs or similar), no more than 10-20 LBS per shelf assembly, no more than 10-15 LBS per hook that engages in 2 slots, and no more than 5-10 LBS per hook that engages in a single slot. All recommendations assume properly installed panels, weight relatively evenly distributed across the panel face, as well as weight situated at the base of each hook or shelf as opposed to the tip.
Hope this helps!

Q:Hooks keep coming out - I use the board for pans. Is there a way to secure them better?

Answer This Question
A: Thanks for the question! Yes, you would simply need to adjust the stabilizing tabs that are on the hooks with a pair of pliers. If you bend them back slightly toward the panel to 'grip' the pegboard better, they will keep the hooks much more secure. They are made with some tolerance to accommodate all of our coating finish thicknesses so they can take some one time adjusting to get them dialed in just right.

A: The way this it's shown is complete, but peg board part there is 6 Sections at 16 inches wide and 32 tall? If want' to cut them shorter than that it could be done, but without metal finishing tools such as metal brake for bends.........Not how sure it would look! It can be mounted without a sections or at different heights with the sections and 16 inches makes it easier for mounting to wall studs.

A: This unit comes with 6 (16x32 inch) panels. Each panel edge is folded to provide the clearance required to use the hooks and pegs. I would recommend not cutting the individual panels.
by|Feb 18, 2020
A: Yes, but Home Depot does not cut it. You will have to cut it yourself.
