Q:Can I use Behr paint in this sprayer?
by|Dec 1, 2013
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Assuming you are asking about a latex Behr paint, we would not recommend the Control Spray Plus. The Control Spray Plus is for use with lighter materials such as stains, sealers, varnish, oil-based primers and enamels. Latex materials are too thick and will not spray well with this unit.

Q:When will this Item be back in stock?

    Answer This Question

A:  I apologize but I do not know when that item will be back in stock. I would suggest looking at the Wagner PaintREADY Stationary HVLP Sprayer. It is very similar to the Control Spray Plus and can be used with everything the Control Spray Plus can as well as latex paint, which the Control Spray Plus is not able to be used with.

A:  Due to the size of the unit, I do not think it would be sufficient for painting extremely large areas.

A:  I suspect you inted to use latex paint, in which case the answer is no. The Control Spray Plus is not meant for use with latex paint. It is a light-bodied material sprayer meant for things like stains, sealers, varnishes etc. Latex paint is too thick for this unit.

            Answer This Question

A:  Should work fine. Paint may need to be thinned.

            by|May 2, 2023

A:  You can spray doors and railings with the Control Spray Plus, however if you are intending to use latex paint it will not work well. The Control Spray Plus is a sprayer intended to be used with thin bodied materials such as stain, varnish, sealers etc, not latex paint.

Q:Can this sprayer be used to paint an aluminum sided home?

              Answer This Question

A:  That depends on what you intend to spray onto the home. Latex Paint will not work well with this machine, it is too thick. It is a "light-bodied" material sprayer for things such as stains, varnishes, oils, enamels etc.

Q:Can this sprayer spray ceilings, i.e., use vertically?
                by|Jul 3, 2012
                1 Answer
                Answer This Question

A:  The Control Spray Plus is difficult to use on ceilings. You can spray in an upward direction, at an angle, but holding the gun so that you are spraying 90 degrees upward straight at the ceiling will eventually cause the suction tube to pull in air rather than material because it won't remain submerged in your material. Also another note, most of the time when spraying ceilings you'll want to do so using a latex material; the Control Spray Plus is not intended for use with latex paint. It will not spray latex paint well in most cases.
