A:  That’s a question that the manufacturer would have to answer, but I’ve used them for indoor dog kennels made of oak. These kennels are very heavy and they have held up just fine.

    A:  Even though it clearly say that it is 3 1/2 in height and 3 in wide, it is in fact just the opposite. Now I have to sent these back and I have to pay for shipping. If you look on the homedepot.com website you can go down the page and it says 3 1/2 in height. How difficult is it to get it right. As soon as I received the product I measured to make sure and it is exactly 3 inches in height and 3 1/4 in width. I ordered 8 of these and received them this afternoon.

      A:  With the right equipment, the hanger bolt can be removed. It is not recommended to do this. Waddell recommends using these with one of the Waddell Quick Mount surface plates available here or in stores.
