A:  I don’t believe they are easily removed the metal cap on the leg seems to be pressed on. I didn’t notice if the foot was removable from the cap, Sorry!

A:  I guess you could cut it down but youd either have to replace the threaded stud if you cut the top or replace the foot if you cut from bottom. Also if you from top you removing the thickest part of a tapered let. I doubt it would be strong enough for a sofa either way.
