A:  I don't think this would be a good idea. It works fine as designed, but the tubes are hollow and held together with small nuts and bolts. Not likely to hold a great deal of weight suspended.

A:  Not much. It's optimally designed with minimum materials and structure to perform it's function. The triangles in the base will allow it to be filled with wood and stand if it is resting on the base.

A:  It can be filled to the top with the supports without becoming distorted. You’d probably have to buy one and test it out to figure out the capacity without the supports.

A:  we fill it to the top every time and have used 2 full seasons and its still in perfect shape with no distortion.

A:  Do not suspend from above. Made to set on flat level surface. Stable with full load of hardwood.

A:  We have two outside. One on a concrete porch, and one on a wood porch. No ants two years running.

A:  We use our hoop outside uncovered, but anything with wood that is outside I would believe would attract ants eventually.

A:  Iv'e had 3 of these,. The 1st rusted badly after at least 12 years, the other 2 have had less than a year. I bought them because i was very happy with the first. The first i moved at least twice a year depending on the season and it was always out it the weather. I never had a problem with ants, and it was by the house.

A:  Mine doesn’t. It’s a metal object. I don’t see why it would attract ants.

A:  If your wood is seasoned, what would ants be attracted to?

A:  All wood attracts some type of bug s. In 45 years using this type holder on my porch with no major problem with bugs. Bugs are usually brought in with the wood between core wood and bark.

A:  The rack won't, since it is metal, but the wood might. I would leave it out a distance (6-12") from the house. I have two on my deck, keep them covered with blue tarp and have done so for years with no problem.

A:  In and of itself, no, but any stored wood will likely attract some pests. The design of this wood rack is such that the wood is slightly elevated off the ground, which really helps discourage moisture accumulation and bugs. We have had ours outside our front door on a covered porch for a year and a half now and have only seen the occasional spider, no ants. I'd recommend it!

A:  the rack will not attract ants but the logs may attract ants.

A:  the rack is actually thin tubing but well designed to withstand a couple of hundred lbs.of logs.if kept out of the weather it could last many many years.

A:  It’s some kind of hollow pipe that has lasted us very well, had it for over a year, very happy with the purchase.

A:  No. It is not wrought iron. Instead, it is made of black painted metal tubing. One additional note, be aware that the kit does not come with any plugs for the tubing, thereby allow moisture and/or insects to to make a home. I found that rubber chair tips or stoppers will work

A:  It's not wrought iron. It is 1/2" / 3/4" steel tubing but it is very functional. It works great on our porch and holds several days worth of wood. Very easy to assemble but wait until it is fully assembled to tighten down screws.

A:  They do not come connected. You connect them with screws.

A:  no you have to bolt them together with bolt pervided .

A:  No, but I found that the dimpled parts of the pipes are supposed to pair together. That one understanding helped make the included instructions more understandable.

A:  Nope. They stink.

A:  You will not find any clear instructions anywhere. I gave up because there is not even a clear picture that shows if the bars attach to the stands from the outside or the inside. I am returning it and complaining, just in case they get the message.

A:  As with any set of instructions, be careful to understand (as much as possible) before beginning, work slowly/patiently, and accept the fact that you may have to "un-do" some of your work as you progress, and re-do it differently. It always helps to have a vision of the finished product in mind. Having said that, I feel your pain.
