Q:Can this fan be used in a Kitchen vent fan situation?

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, as long as it isn't too near high heat. We used it as a booster fan after the cheap over the stove fan. Always start the cheap fan 1st and then turn on the booster, otherwise it could cause the cheap fan to run backwards.

A:  Yes it can be used in a kitchen vent fan situation

A:  Not in a range hood or above range microwave. If you were using it in just a dedicated exhaust application that would be acceptable. I personally would not use in a kitchen area with the potential of grease/moisture/buildup without some form of a filter at the entry of the duct.

Q:1) Also would like to know if the fan would be hermetic and not leak smoke since its going to be installed in another room annex to my Lounge, I am talking about the unit itself. My Lounge his seal with Spray foam but not the Furnace room where the unit will be installed. 2) Last, was wondering if one fan of a smaller cfm let say 200 cfm could be mounted to bring fresh air inside. Basically, my intent is to have a 1200 cfm fan to get ride of the smoke outside and another one to bring fresh air inside. Your Thoughts, and thank you for your expertise.
