A:  Yes, it will hold up through the heat. However, just like any other outside surface it can be hot to the touch.

    Q:The actual weight is over 1,000 pounds. Its actually 2500 lbs. I am glad i bought this when it became available. Any additional questions id be glad to answer. I covered 550 square feet with this.

      A:  Google "rubber mulch coverage calculator." That will allow you to calculate the total volume for the measurements your enter. Then you can use that number to see how many bags/containers or whatever that you will need to cover the area you want.
