Answer This Question
A: No, unless you first bore an oversized hole in the concrete and set a lead or plastic anchor in the hole that is sized for these screws. These screws are not designed or intended to penetrate concrete.

A: I found this lattice to be very nice to work with, but what I didn't know was how sensitive it was to temperature changes. I secured it snugly like any other project and was told by a contractor to hang it with some looseness or it will crack and break. I was too late. It did in fact break where screws held it. Do yourself a favor, leave the screws a little loose and make the pilot holes a little larger than you would with wood.
It does look nice though and is very easy to work with. Just felt a little heads up would have been nice.

A: Didn't use a bit. Lattice was plastic

A: Yes, I drilled a pilot hole using 5/64" to vinyl lattice each time I screwed the 1-1/2" lattice to the ledge...

A: I didn’t even use a pilot hole. Just drilled them in no problem.

A: I did not drill a pilot hole in the wood, as it was pressure treated pine. The lattice however needs a hole bigger than your screw diameter. I can not remember which size I used.. Do not screw down tight. You want the lattice to hang from your screws so the weather changes will not cause your lattice to contort..

Q:how many screws are need to secure one panel?

Answer This Question
A: I put screws in corner and installed a screw every 2 feet.on top and sides where possible. My panels wee essentially hung and were in a horizontal configuration. Most of time I had to custom cut the panels to fit ground, which was easy. I used bottom anchors every 2 feet - essentially these were short pieces of 2x2 wood pointed on one end and pounded into the ground. Then I screwed bottom edge of lattice into these 2x2 bottom anchors.
