    Answer This Question

A:  No, it will not work, as the blind fits perfectly withing the daylight area. Each VELUX Skylight model has it's own specific model blind. If you can please provide the serial number on your skylight (metal tag, bottom inside frame), I can provide the model blind that is compatible with your unit. Thank you.

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for asking. I believe the best advice would be to talk to one of our many specialty department professionals at your local Home Depot store. There are many factors when it comes to the specifics of the item. For any other questions, please call us at HomeDepot.com Customer Service 800-430-3376.

        by|May 2, 2023

A:  1. No, they cannot be operated manually. The good news is that the motor is smart enough to know that if it doesn't have enough power to close, it will not allow you to open. This should alleviate any concerns for not being able to close the skylight. 2. There are no ventian blinds that are solar powered. 3. There is an asphalt shingle roof flashing kit for this skylight. It is model EDL.

          Answer This Question

A:  Yes, the blinds will be installed up against the glass and you adjust with the keypad as to how far you want to raise and lower. These blinds work with our deck mounted skylights which work on a roof pitch of 15-85 degrees. Thank you.

A:  I didn't have Home Depot install this however they tend to install for an additional cost. I would recommend calling your local Home Depot to see what the installation cost would be.
