A:  Hello mom22kids, Yes our whirlpool tubs all have a friction heater that is attached to the plumbing for the jets. While the jets are running, the water going through the pipes will create friction which in turn will activate the heater. Friction heater maintains water temperature for extended warm and comfortable bathing with no extra power needed to operate.
