A: Yes and yes. And be sure to use a very wide trowel. Like 8 inches. The amount you put down will spread when you trowel it and if not wise enough it will go around the trowel.

A: I used the side burner on my gas grill, took about 30 minutes to completely melt. It comes in a steel can and a nylon handle that clamps to the can with a hose clamp. The handle does not get hot enough to melt.

A: A single propane burner works well. Use welding gloves and safety glasses. Pour a partially melted can into another can, bent so can pour, then reheat for a couple minutes. I would suggest not using the provided hose clamp and plastic support, which will melt. You only need the can. Not the kit.
