Q:Why on earth would you want to buy such a product? Roof exhaust is not only for removing heat buildup. There is also the removal of moisture from the attic space which is very critical.

Answer This Question

A:  Well we use them in our Community Garden Greenhouse as part of our ventilation system to remove both heat and humidity, where they work great, so I can't really respond to your question.

A:  Not sure, you will have to ask at the HD store. I found that putting in a attic fan (with a thermostat & vent on the roof) and connecting it to an electrical source in your attic, will make a world of difference, and not just relying on the wind & solar fans on the roof.

A:  No, it doesn't. We have them installed on our off-grid greenhouse.

A:  No. These use a bi-metal coil that opens and closes the vanes based on temperature. I installed these on my three turbines a yeas ago and they are very effective. I no longer need to crawl into the attic twice a year to install/ remove foam plugs.

Q:Can the manufacturer improve on the design of this damper by providing adjustable damper thermostat controller so the temperature the damper closes can be adjusted? I will wait for this improved design before I make the purchase. Thanks.

A:  Shoppers in Southern California want it to close at 50 instead of 40F. We are working on that may have it in 7 months.

                  by|Nov 30, 2022

A:  All you need to do is purchase another type of turbine that provides a thermostat control. Using this turbine, allows all the hot air in your attic or garage to escape, as the heat rises in the structure, (and the roof material will not get as hot). In cooler months, it slows down. I would direct you to an expert to guide you in your specific need. CM
