Q:My pole is stuck and I cannot twist it even a fraction of an inch to move it so I am unable to extend or collapse it. I tried WD40 and it did not work. I was only able to extend it once since I bought it - today - and now I am unable to collapse. Any suggestions? It has been stored inside so there is no rust or dirt and it has been used only on few occasions since it was bought a year ago. Thank you!

A:  Poles that function like those do, and can seem to be stuck. Sometimes a different set of hands and or different person / set of eyes. But I don't think WD 40 or anything will help as theirs usually a plastic or metal block on the end of the inside pole that wedges in place when twisted. Possibly a tap on the end or something to jar it would help. Otherwise I would take it back to your home depot to see if there staff could do it and or they are very customer oriented and if you can show them you purchased it from them I've always had them take very good care to keep me 100% satisfied by exchanging there product for a new one no matter how long I had it.

A:  our pole works just great. it works as promised. Our only problem is our tree is much taller than the pole.

        by|Mar 12, 2019

A:  I’ve had that happen but eventually got it loose. Maybe WD-40 the seam where it adjusts.

          by|Mar 3, 2019

A:  Open the bottom part - there is a piece there that is just misaligned. Jimmy it a bit to figure out how the mechanism works - it is pretty straightforward.

            by|Mar 3, 2019

A:  Are you sure it's unlocked when you try to extend ? the newer models have a lock which looks like a lever where the smaller pole get's into the bigger. right there you have to pull the lever and "open" it (or release if you will) and then you extend. Once extended you re-lock the lock for safety. Try !

A:  In order to extend the pole you twist the handle and then push up. When reaching the length you want retwist to lock it. I've had this type of fruit picker for years and never had the problem you described. I hope this helps you.

A:  You have to loosen the screw on the metal band with a screwdriver before the pole can be twisted and length adjusted. Then tighten the screw again after adjusted to the length you want.
