A:  Hello kz59, The aluminum models perform slightly better but almost non-measurable over the steel. This is due to the shape of the deflector blade, the aluminum models a a true airfoil shaped blade where the steel have a tear drop shaped blade. Typically we suggest that the aluminum models get used in regions with high humidity or along the coast lines. Since the aluminum corrodes or oxidize white in color, any corrosion over time will be less noticeable. The steel models of course will corrode or oxidize (rust) red in color which is much more noticeable.
