A:  Hello Emmy, The hardware used on the swing is marine grade stainless steel. If you decide to replace the chain with rope, make sure the rope is strong enough to hold the whole weight of the swing and the people sitting in it. We don't have any pictures of how to hang the swing. There have been customers that have hung them from their porches, from swing frames, and trees. How you hang it will depend upon the location of the swing. Thank you for the great questions! Ashley

A:  Hi Emmy, you could replace the chain with rope [I would use at least 8-9mm climbing rope like Bluewater to be safe, but that's just me] and no the hardware is not brass.

A:  Hello Ace! Unfortunately, Home Depot does not carry our cushions, but if you search the words "Yacht Club Swing Cushion - 55.5" x 18.5", you should be able to find a cushion that will fit the swing nicely. Thank you for the great question! Ashley

A:  Hello, Since we are not experts with building structures, we suggest you reach out to a structural engineer to ask about which size beam you should use. We can tell you that the structure should be able to support a minimum of 500 pounds and possibly up to 1,000 pounds depending on how many people you have sitting on the Yacht Club Swing. A:  Hello! Included in the chain kit are 4 eye bolts, 4 snap hooks, 2 S hooks, and 4 5ft. chains. The S hooks attach to the end of the of the 5 ft. chain so anything above the S hook is not included. This would consist of any attachment hardware including extra chain needed to secure the swing to a structure is not included. Thank you for the great question! Kevin

A:  Hello! Yes you can hang your swing from a tree if you'd like. As long as it can support the weight of the swing and the people sitting on it. This is the same rule of thumb for anything that you hang the swing from. Thank you for the great question! Kevin

A:  Hi RD. Yes, you can hang the Yacht Club Tree House Patio Swing from a tree branch as long as it will support the weight when you are on the swing. The manufacturer does not warranty any faulty construction when hanging the swing. Only the parts of the swing. The swing must be 18 inches off the ground and no more than 9 feet from its hanging point, as that is the length of the chain. A:  Product comes with enough chain to hang it from a porch that is 9 feet high, according to the directions that accompany the swing.

A:  The seat should be approximately 18" off the floor. The hanging mounts should be about 68 inches apart. Adjust the enclosed chain for height. A:  We do not have a minimum height to mount our swings above the floor, it is entirely preferential for the customer. The recommended width of the hanging mounts is 68 inches. The chain can be adjusted to a maximum 9 ft porch height. The swing comes with 5 feet of chain. We do recommend that you hang the chain from a beam vs a rafter. A:  Lynn, Thank you for your question. Trex does not have an Arbor kit.

A:  The only thing you will want to make sure of is that the arbor is rated to hold the weight you will put on it. Our swings hold 600 pounds, however, they weigh 70 pounds. Thank you, Gina Trex Customer Service
