Q:How do I clean grout haze off these ceramica vinyl tiles?

    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. You should use a quality vinyl floor cleaner or mild soap and water with a damp sponge mop. Don’t wax the floor, don’t seal the floor, and don’t use any wood care product on the floor as these can leave a film that traps dirt. Do not use any steam mop as Allure is sensitive to heat. We recommend using Armstrong Once 'n Done, available at the Home Depot.

Q:Can I install Traffic Master Ceramica over existing vct tile, and do I need to use a primer and spread adhesive under the tiles?

                Answer This Question

A:  Yes. You can install this over existing vinyl flooring. Make sure the floor is level and clean. Repair any flaws, such as rips or tears. You can remove those and fill with leveling compound. I also recommend using a primer (sold at HD) to make your floor bond better to the existing floor. I did exactly what you are wanting to do and I'm very happy with the results.

A:  Hello Clark and thank you for your question. Yes, you can install the Trafficmaster Ceramica 12 in. x 12 in. Roman Travertine Beige Vinyl Tiles over 1 layer of vinyl only, including linoleum, VCT, LVT, and peel & stick). The existing vinyl floor must be securely adhered to the subfloor, smooth, free of surface defects and wax. Loose or damaged areas should be patched or replaced. Do not sand existing vinyl floors under any circumstances. You should use a primer if installing over plywood, hardboard or raw concrete floors. Best wishes on your project.
