Q:How can flooring come to a step/landing with smooth edge?
by|Sep 29, 2014
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. There is really no way to have a smooth edge. You would have to use the matching bull nose that is offered through a company called Zamma or a rubber or laminate bull nose.

Q:How hard is it to replace a plank of this product?
    by|Jan 2, 2014
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Hello gumby8 and thank you for your question. To replace a plank of Allure ULTRA, take a utility knife and cut the damaged plank out ONLY along the long side of the plank. Lift out the damaged plank. Take a spare plank and cut the tongue and groove ONLY from the long side of the replacement plank. Leave the tongue and groove on the short side of the plank. Fit the replacement plank into place and lock the two short ends into position. If you have any problems or questions, contact the Allure Customer Help Line at 1-866-843-8453. Remember to replace the plank flooring at the same temperature as it was installed (between 65-85oF). Additional maintenance information is found on page 8 of the Owner’s Manual: http://www.mydiygenius.com/images/stories/documents/manual-ultra-sp-english-usa.pdf. Best wishes on your project.

Q:So would you recommend it for a master bath floor?

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question...yes, this is the perfect product for a bath floor. As long as the bathroom is not flooded with water it will perform great! You can run a bead of silicone around the perimeter of the tub if you would like just make sure it is latex.

A:  Thank you for your question...the product is not intended or warrantied for wall application but can certainly be glued if that is your choice. Yes, it is slip resistant to slightly moisture feet. If the floor is flooded with water, no it is not.
