A: Hello Dennis. The TotalPond 140 GPH Fountain Pump is ideal for fountains with 3 ft. pumping height. Pumping height is measured from the water level to the outlet of the fountain. The flow chart is as follow, 0 ft. it would be 150 GPH, 1 ft. 115 GPH, 3 ft. 45 GPH, and at 3.7 ft. it would be 0 GPH. We hope this helps.
