Q:Is this delineator 42" tall or 48" tall? I see both mentioned more than once throughout this webpage.

A: 42 inches is the height of of the top band of reflective sheeting above the roadway surface. 48 inches is the total overall height.

A: Yes it fit over a standard steel fence post. It will fit over up to a 3 3/4" post.

A: Hi, Yes, if you are talking about steel post similar to one you would use with chain link fencing. They are about 2 1/2 inches and the interior of the delineator is about 3 3/4 inches. Should side right over

A: I don't think so. It would likely be a very snug fit only going partly over the post. Instead, we used 4' pieces of steel rebarb (2' into the ground and 2' for the delineator to cover). It worked very well and eliminated the need for the base(s).

A: I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that will work if your talking a standard fence (steel) post. since both have similar width characteristics and the reason for the weighted base is so the delineator won't fall over, but if your putting this over an exsisting post that would give it the stability for it not to sway and or fall over

A: The black rubber is a separate octagon of dense rubber needed to provide the flexible base. It is available from Home Depot
