    A:  I think you can install it either direction. I would check to see that the water discharging from the faucet is over the drain. In our case, we used a wall mounted faucet to give a historic farm look. I wished we could have installed the sink under the countertop as the edge lip traps water. We used a stainless steel countertop and did not have the tools to make a hole with rounded corners.
