Q:Is this rack difficult to cut when bike is locked onto it ( think bike burglars)

Answer This Question

A:  Hi there, thanks for the question. This rack is designed as bike storage rack. It's not designed to be used as theft protection. Even if a cable type lock is used by threading through and around our wall mounted racks, the rack can be pulled and removed from wall with force. I hope this helps.

Q:Could you please clarify load capacity? Website says up to 80 lbs, product ad says 65 lbs, and under specifications it says 50 lbs. Which is it? Thanks.

        Answer This Question

A:  I made sure I mounted the rack into a wall stud in my garage. It holds two bikes and gear no problem. I have put lot of my weight on it after I installed to be sure it would hold up since it is mounted right next to my car. I could pull my self up from the floor. It will hold 80 lbs if mounted correctly and into wall studs. I no longer have the original instruction but it seems to me they rate the weight if you would mount into drywall with the system provided. Then the issue is how well the drywall will hold up if more weight then 65lbs is added.

Q:I have a Portable x-ray machine that I must hold 36 inches above the animal when taking the picture. It is approx. 40 lb which makes it difficult to do all the time. So, I am looking for a way to be able to just hang it from the ceiling when I need to use it. When I am not using it, it would be in its case. So it would only be hanging from the ceiling from time to time for about 5 to 10 minutes at a time. I should also mention that the ceiling is a drop ceiling. Any ideas on if this would work or not? Thanks for any answer you can come up with for me.
