Q:Can the tops or bottoms be popped out to form a more secure hold when stacking? (As is the 3-drawer Suncast cart.)

      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question, Momalmighty, and the photos. The DRT188810D tower with 2 smaller and 1 larger drawer is complete as is and intended to be this way. The DR188810D stacking drawer is also complete as is but one can be stacked atop another. The frame tops/bottoms/sides are securely factory assembled and should remain so. The raised detail on the top of a DR188810D fits into the open detail on the bottom of another. They should be stacked only 2 high with 50 pounds in each at the most. Any modifications would not only void any warranty but would be at your risk and could damage the product. We do appreciate your concerns and your interest in Suncast products.

        Answer This Question

A:  The Suncast Storage Trends stacking drawer model DR188810D, has a flip up or down tab in the upper right corner of the frame that will latch down onto the drawer, securing it inside the frame. There is no lock loop, however, for a padlock, only this latching method. Thank you for your question, Motrader, and your interest in Suncast products.

Q:Can an adult sit on this unit? If so, what would be the maximum weight?

          Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question, Annie. The Suncast Storage Trends stacking drawer has a capacity of 50 pounds. We recommend only stacking 2 together with a combined weight of no more than 100 pounds. These drawers were intended for storage of items within and not as additional or occasional seating. There are more appropriate Suncast products for this, including the Suncast SSW1200 or PB2600, both sold through Home Depot at homedepot.com, or the Suncast SS1000 or SSW1000, available from Suncast at suncast.com, all of which have storage beneath their seating areas. Thank you for your interest in Suncast products.

Q:I see that the unit has a hand hold in the front of the drawer. Is there a similar hand hold in back so that they can be easily picked up and moved?

              Answer This Question

A:  The Suncast Storage Trends stacking drawer in model DR188810, Kenneth, is removable from its stackable frame. If the drawer is removed from the frame, it will have handle holds on both ends. The frame itself is intended to be a stationary storage device. Thank you for your question and your interest in Suncast products.

A:  The Suncast Storage Trends Stacking Drawer, model DR188810, is overall about 18 inches square. Each weighs about 8 pounds. The molded raised area on the top of one will fit into the indented area on the bottom of another. Stack them only 2 high with a maximum weight of 50 pounds in each. Yes, the removable bin can be used as a small laundry basket, easily sliding out from the framing as needed. Thank you for your question and your interest in Suncast products.
