Q:Isn't this just a continuity tester? How would that be different than any electrical test device that tests for continuity?

Answer This Question
A: • Isn’t this just a continuity tester?
i.) I will assume this is in reference to the LoudMouth. Yes, it is a monitor/tool to be used during the installation of the product. A digital Multi-Meter is also required during the installation process in order to verify the heating element is correct and ready to be installed.
• How would that be different than any electrical test device that tests for continuity?
i.) The LoudMouth is a device that does not require a visual presence. It will constantly monitor the heating element during the installation to ensure it is still in working order. Should the heating element get damaged during the installation, the Loudmouth will immediately sound an alarm to let the contractor know the point of damage so the system can be fixed quickly.

Answer This Question
A: Hey Randall,
SunTouch, as well as most floor radiant manufacturers, advise you to only use their own brand.
This is also done so as to avoid any electrical risks, and complying with any warranty you'd have with using it.
