Q:Hello, My subfloor is made of 2x8 planks not plywood, and on top of this are two layers of tile, (the new tile was laid over the old tile), this could be a total of 3 or even 4 inches high. Will this heat through that much wood and tile? Thanks!

Answer This Question
A: Would not recommend for this type of installation, as it would require to much energy to pass through all the layers. Would be best to use a TapeMat or WarmWire under the top layer of tile.
