Q:I?m thinking about buying this hammer because I have arthritis and need a lighter weight hammer to do my work with Habitat this summer. I?ve checked every website and haven?t found the total weight of this hammer. I need the 14 oz. & handle weight. Thank.

      A:  Ours is tough and we have used it for everything. The finish might wear off, but it is made to work.

      A:  definitely. A little overkill for demo to be honest, but I have done a fair bit with it. Handle seems to be very robust.

        A:  I frame houses with this hammer and I frequently use it to demolish pallets, braces, and beat joists/walls in place. It works quite well for it.

            A:  You will have a rough time breaking the handle. I don't think it is replaceable but I would be surprised that it needed to be.

            A:  Idk about a wooden handle, i been trying to find an answer to this question myself. Stiletto wont distribute the resin to replace the poly handles cause they're harmful but if you mail the head to them they will put a new poly handle for you.
