Q:Looking at the CK-15E/204091958 Model. Not much detail as to power connection. Is the power connection in the back or can it be taken into the side? We are looking to mount a unit on a block wall. Everything on that wall is surface mounted conduit.

Answer This Question
A: The electrical cord enters from the back of the unit, upper part of the unit in the center. You could possibly slide the cord behind it but it would be better to go directly into the back of the unit. Q:Can the unit be installed with the air grill on the top instead of the bottom?

Answer This Question
A: No, that would require redesigning the whole unit. The convection heaters have the discharge grill on the top if that helps you. Not a fan heater though.

Q:Thermostat hardwired but if less than that can you just use the thermostat on the heater casing? Sorry it wouldn't let me type my whole question.

A: Yes, this has a thermostat.

A: Yes, it's a thermostatic switch that will turn it off when all the way down, until the temperature reaches 40 degrees and then the freeze control circuit turns it on automatically.

A: This unit is intended to be "hardwired" and should be on its own circuit at your breaker panel

A: does this heater connect to electrical outlet NO HARD WIRING NEEDED
by|Oct 25, 2021
A: You'll need to hard wire it with minimum 12 gauge wire and a new dedicated 15 Amp circuit breaker. If you're not a electrician you will need one.

A: I think it would work great for your needs. It made my area nice and toasty and is 198sqft. BTW 12'x12' is 144 sqft.

A: Using the 1W/sq ft rule of thumb, 12 X 12 would be 144 sq ft or 1440 watts. So in a basement room with earth etc
insulation the answer is yes.

A: Yes

A: Maybe. It requires 12 AWG wire (20 Amp) and a dedicated 15 Amp breaker, so you'll most likely need to run a new circuit to a new breaker. It draws 12.5 Amps and 1500 Watts. That's a lot of power, like running a heavy duty plug in electric heater. It has specified minimum clearances of 20 inches in front and 4 inches top, side and bottom. I'd use a plug in oil heater instead...the ones that look like little radiators. Operating this to heat a room will blow up your electric bill.
