Q:Is this door available with nickel or stainless steel hinges instead of white ones? Also, without a brickmold, does the prehung frame around the door have some overlap when inset in the rough stud door opening?

                Answer This Question

A:  The hinges are actually nickel and not white, that was an entry error on our part, thanks for catch. The jamb (frame) does not have a lip around it. Brickmold has to be used to cover rough opening space. Brickmold is seperate, but can be purchased by searching on Home Depot website "brickmold", or you can use your existing molding if in good shape.

A:  It is not recommended for the vent to be removed. If you decide to do it, it will void warranty.

Q:I have an exterior utility area and the rough opening is 32 and 1/4 inches by exactly 80". Before I purchase this door I'd like to confirm that either the bottom frame can be removed or that both the top and bottom can be removed in order to adjust for the extra 1/4 inch it suggests for the opening?

                      Answer This Question

A:  We do not recommend trimming this door. With that said, it is possible to cut 1/4 from either top or bottom, but it will void warranty to door. Make sure you re-seal the exposed door if you do cut it.
