A:  Brick molding is the trim that goes on the outside of the door to either be butted up against the brick or to layover the top of siding for a finished look. Yes, this door will fit in 2 x 6 walls.

        Q:Two questions: 1) Does this door come unfinished? We'd like to paint it a bright red on the outside and white on the inside but have doubts about the wisdom of painting such beautiful mahogany wood. 2) Does this door (same exact style and design) come in other type of wood that is easier for painting?

        A:  yes you can special order unfinished from your local home depot store. You might find the design in a fir or oak or fiberglass also in the home depot special order system.

                    A:  First you will need to verify the actual door height and width of you existing door slab.to make sure of the actual slab size you are replacing, Tthis door shown is only a 79" slab. You can take your measurements to your local home depot to verify if the slab size you need is available. our standard hinge mortise from the top down - 6.5",37.5" and 68.5" From the top down the lock bore is 45 7/8" to center, the deadbolt is then 5 1/2 " up to its center.
