Q:when both doors are open does the astagral remain fixed in the middle of doorway or does it move with the doors so that entire space is open to width of 78+ inches? If it does not move with door is there a way to temporarily remove it?

A: The inactive door has a flush bolt on the top and bottom of door and this allows for you to slide the bolts down to open the other door.

Q:What is the typically time to have a tech out to inspect the door/warranty? Contacted SS two weeks ago, yet to be contacted back regarding a tech coming out. The doors are now molding on the interior of frame as they have leaked since install.

A: Yes they do, but the inactive door (door w/o handle) has to be unlocked by the top and bottom flush bolts. With both doors open, you will have a center astragal in middle of door opening.
