Answer This Question

A:  This heater does have a blower on it. On low, the warm air coming out is moderate. On high, you can really feel it. I just checked my local home depot and I can order this and have it delivered to home on Sept. 25. I looked up internet number 202843067 and found it. I use mine all the time during the winter. Hope this helps

A:  Yes, it can. I sell tickets at our high school football games and we attach it to an extension cord in order to heat our booth!

            by|Feb 15, 2020

A:  yes as long as it is an appliance cord or heavier type cord

              by|Feb 12, 2020

A:  No, this cannot be hooked up to an extension cord.

                by|Feb 11, 2020

A:  Yes it can. I used it to bring the temperature up in a room that I was laying laminate flooring. It was on an extension cord the whole time very nice portable heater. I have used it many times on different projects

                  by|Feb 17, 2020

A:  It sure can. The extension cord I used is rated for 1,875 watts, is yellow in color, and is 25-feet in length. My furnace stopped working, and I used two of these Stanley heaters, each on their own extension cord, to prevent my pipes from freezing until I could get it fixed. Extension cords were needed in my case to bring the heaters to where the pipes were, so they would not freeze in the 12 degree below zero weather. I really like how this Stanley heater can run for hours and no where on the unit does it get hot to the touch.

                      Answer This Question

A:  This doesn't have a way to set to an exact temperature, but in my experience the lowest setting causes it to turn off when the room is in the 50sF. The range to turn off is probably around 60F to 80F.

A:  Hi Jdk83. Thank you for your question. The Lasko 1500-Watt Pro-Ceramic Utility Electric Heater has an adjustable thermostat control for personalized comfort and a built-in ceramic safety: self-regulating ceramic element, automatic overheat protection. That would mean that yes, it will turn off when the desire temperature is reached. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC

A:  I bought mine for deer hunting, we stay in an older 30' camper. I plug this in and set the thermostat on it just in case we run out of gas or furnace goes out. I know we wont loose power! It works pretty good but I haven't used just this for heat but I dont think you'd freeze if this is all you had, it heats the place pretty good.

A:  Yes, it does have a ground plug. As far as "Tip Over", I never checked it out for that. I use for out door heating for our dogs Dog House. Be careful if you intend to relocate it and you walk past the pool. I do know that it will not float; too heavy. It will go straight down to the bottom of the pool and go down rather quickly. After weeks of trying to dry it out, talking to it expressing my thoughts and throwing it down on the garage floor several times, I could not get it to work any longer. That being said, it does create a lot of black smoke. Cecil H. LeMond Decatur, Texas

A:  There is no ground plug and no tip-over switch. For it to over-turn, it would need to be kicked-over because it is stable.

A:  Yes it has a ground plug. ! am not sure on tip over safety, but I would say to tip it over you would have to pick it up with both hands and turn it over. It is in other words the most stable heater I have ever seen ..William I also consider it the safest I have ever seen in my 60 plus years!

A:  I wouldn't recommend this heater for a two-car garage. It works great in my 15 x 17 foot kitchen to supplement my old radiator heating however. I would recommend a 240 volt heater of at least 3000 watts in a two car garage. This is a 1500 watt heater which would have a difficult time warming a 2 car garage, especially when it's freezing outside.

A:  Being 1500 watts means it's running at 12.5 Amps. If your plugged into a 15 amp circuit it's probably getting warm because it's taking a lot from that circuit to run it. If you plug it into a 20 amp circuit (kitchen, garage etc.) It probably wont get hot on the plug. If it does return it for a different one.

A:  if your inverter is efficient (actually producing close to 3000w), absolutely yes. But amp draw when this turns on is the issue...I don't know what it is so find out. Every 1000w gives you about 80 amps (12 volt DC to 110 volt AC). I can't imagine this heater uses that many amps alone, but if you have other things running off that inverter things could get dicey. Personally I'd try it, only takes a second to find out while you watch it. Send it back if it doesn't. Or you can TRY to get ahold of the manufacturer in China and see what they think.

A:  The running watts is 1500 and if you figure the starting watts is double, then your 3000w power inverter should work fine.
